Yumiko Asakura - Japanese shaman and healer

Yumiko Asakura – Shaman and Healer with Connections to the Onmyōji Born in Fukui, Japan, Yumiko is a far descendent of the Emperor of Japan, and belongs to famous Samurai family also known for fostering Japanese spiritual arts, Japanese astronomy (Onmyōji), alchemy and integrative medicine (Western and Eastern). She began to show signs of spiritual enlightenment from an early age, growing up in a remote village in the mountains and developing a close connection with nature. Yumiko accepted her true calling as a healer, shaman and teacher when she was in her mid-20s and became well-known and highly-respected amongst spiritual teachers and healers in Japan, where she has taught medical professionals, spiritual teachers, healers and therapists. In 2000 she founded her own educational institution, Leaves Institute, and started to teach internationally in the UK.
