Christmas Fair - Mental Health Fundraiser

Our first ever Christmas fair took place on December 12th and raised over

£5,000 for mental health initiatives.

Darren Gough and Diana Brook call the raffle draw.

and Matt from Annwn restaurant, live music from the super talented Jodie Marie, and an amazing raffle with cricket and Strictly Come Dancing legend Darren Gough hosting.

After we lost our unique and bright light, Gryff Cian Morgan, at the tender age of 19 last month, we knew we had to do more at a grassroots level. The event raised over £5,000, which we are putting into a dedicated mental health area at the festival in memory of Gryff, with expertise and professionals to allow people to check in and learn coping strategies. The money will also go to grassroots mental health initiatives at a local level and a wellbeing programme, where we hope to host practical and impactful workshops with experts for people suffering in Pembrokeshire.

Lockdown has taken its toll on the mental health of many who suffer behind closed doors. We want to come together as a community to do what we can. We are dedicating our energy to raising awareness, providing support where we can, and opportunities for people suffering in silence.

Jodie Marie performed a stunning set for our festive shoppers.

If you missed this year's Christmas fair, we have an online auction that ends on Wednesday evening. We have a series of fantastic prizes, including; a two night hot tub break at The Little Retreats, a spa break at Bluestone, a champagne tea for four at the Plas, and a signed copy of The Umbrella Academy by Tom Hopper. You can bid for one of these amazing prizes, and all funds will support mental health initiatives.

The success of this wonderful event, which saw the local community come together, will now be an annual event at The Little Retreats on the festival site.

A special thanks to Get The Boys A Lift and the DPJ Foundation.

In memory of the unique and bright light, Gryff Cian Morgan (pictured).
